I woke up to some very sad news this morning, as I found out actor Corey Haim died. He was ONLY 38! He was one of “The Two Coreys,” famous for his movie roles in the 1980’s, alongside Corey Feldman. Most recently, they were both subjects of a reality show which ended after two seasons due to Haim’s drug use. That may very well be how Corey died.

Thanks to the earthquake in Chile, “Earth days” have become shorter. OK, not much shorter…just 1.26 microseconds. But, shorter nonetheless. Why? NASA scientists say the quake actually shifted the Earth’s axis! Will this bring us the end of the workday sooner? Probably not :-(

on today’s Tim and Willy:

We had Willy the Wizard as we do every Wednesday, but today we heard that Willy had a fight with his wife, which she won.  And we learned about some of his fishing buddies plus a great recycling tip every parent will be so glad to hear.

Yesterday, the manager of the KFC at 7th Ave. and Thomas stopped by with a bucket of chicken because we were talking about him a few weeks ago.  Seems that old KFC had been torn down and Tim was wondering what was going in in its place.  He heard it, called, and told us it was just another KFC.  We thought that was a little strange, but he brought us the very first bucket of chicken to come off the assembly line now that the store is open.  Boy was it yummy…we can still smell it today.

And for those who’ve just graduated and are looking for that first job, Willy brought us the highest paying starter salaries.  And then, he brought us the lowest paying starter salaries.  You can hear all of these show segments here on kmlenation.com, just below.

Additionally, Andrea brought us a tale of a chef in New York who decided to make cheese out of his wife’s breast milk. (EEW)  And Becky Lynn told us about the serial killer who back in the late 70s made it onto the TV show “The Dating Game” ..and was the bachelor chosen.  His killing spree was already underway at that time, so its a really good thing the bachelorette decided, after she actually met him, not to go out with him!
